Wiley, Ashley's dog, was last seen on Monday, August 17 at about 6:30 pm. We were walking on the creek near our homes. We let him play in the creek at which time there was thunder, he bolted up the path onto a bike path. He collided with a biker, who Ash stopped to help, and so we did not see which way Wiley ran.
We searched the area with Ash's boyfriend, Mike for hours. Unfortunately, while doing so Mike was attacked and ended up at the emergency room. He was released after a CAT scan that showed a fractured nose.
Since then we have been using every tactic we can to find Wiley. We are making the rounds of shelters daily, posting on Craigslist and Facebook, posting hundreds of flyers, and of course, praying.
We realize there are others who suffer much greater loss and hardship; but, for now we are heartsick.
Wiley was wearing a collar with identification and has a microchip, so we are hopeful.

HI Sally!!!! Glad you are there safe and sound, however the last few days sounded a bit hairy. I have never followed a blog, but I will try to enter this brave new world to keep track of you! Best wishes, Cari
